As a Clinical Associate for UHSA, Susan Blakeslee works with home care agencies to help them improve their workflow, streamline their processes, improve productivity and use automation to improve their documentation.  A self-professed jack of all trades, Susan also develops and presents seminars on various topics, and she also helps develop marketing and educational programs for clients. 

Work History

Prior to joining UHSA, Susan worked in hospice as a field social worker where she helped design and implement a computerized clinical documentation system.  While managing that system, she also managed a bereavement chaplaincy and community relations program, including: marketing, a volunteer program and a thrift shop.  Before working in hospice, Susan ran a family-owned business.

Experiences

Susan’s extensive background in hospice and management makes her an invaluable part of the UHSA team.  A licensed Mental Health Counselor, she has facilitated the automation of a large hospice and she has trained multidisciplinary teams, while maintaining the software system. In addition, Susan has trained over 160 staff to use the computerized system, and she has traveled to many states to assist with reviewing and re-engineering home health care systems.

Education

A graduate of Rollins College, Susan Holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling.
