Work History Sundra began her home health career in 1990 providing direct patient care. As the home care arena continued to change, she met the challenge: to provide high-tech acute care in the home; act as preceptor for new home care nurses; involve herself in the organization of new branch offices to expand service areas; and to educate and mentor others in home care automation. During her 16-year home health career Sundra has acquired a passion for home care and understands the direction of the home care industry. Experiences In 2000, Sundra played an integral part of implementing PtCT software for the home health agency where she was employed. She transitioned the staff from written to electronic records, updated and augmented clinical data sets, designed disease specific pathways, and maintained the BZM dictionaries. Sundra has trained over 200 clinical and office staff on the PtCT software application and OASIS. Over the years, she earned the reputation as the “go-to” expert for troubleshooting Billing, Scheduling, Intake, and the Home Care Manager, including PtReporter. Sundra innovatively created phone monitoring assessment pathways to prepare the agency for a transition into telehealth, focusing on decreasing acute care hospitalization in preparation for Medicare Pay for Performance. Education A graduate of Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, Florida, Sundra is a Registered Nurse. Contact Sundra By Email |
