As a Billing Associate, Edie Clifford provides billing support to new and existing clients.  With medical insurance experience in many specialties, Edie has developed extensive knowledge of the reimbursement process, and she is particularly skilled at managing old accounts receivables and problem accounts.

Work History

No stranger to billing software systems, Edie began her career at The Pediatric Center and has spent the last nineteen years in medical billing working in several different practices.  While at The Pediatric Center, Edie quickly moved from automating the office to handling managed care contracts and Medicaid billing.  Later Edie began to provide billing services for a chiropractic center and spent the next five years developing office and billing operations.  Prior to joining UHSA, Edie also gained experience at Resurgeons Orthopedic’s Central Billing Office, also known as Ortholink, where she handled Medicare and commercial claims, attended coding seminars, and performed chart audits.  Most recently, she worked as an independent contractor and accepted both ongoing and PRN positions.

As a Billing Associate, Edie is able to leverage her extensive knowledge of over 20 billing software systems as she has assisted that many practices with their billing and reimbursement procedures.

Education

Edie attended La Sorbonne in Paris for language and art history.
